2023 is here! The last year was a big one for the Bodytech team. We saw a staggering number of vehicles come in a range of our services. Across our marine and automotive team, we assisted various client needs, from simple cosmetic and mechanical fixes to complete restorations.
Let’s drive down memory lane by visiting some of our most notable 2022 projects.
Smash repairs
You’ll want to get your car back on the road when accidents happen. This is precisely what the owner of the BMW X6 wanted after it was involved in an unfortunate accident. After experiencing damage to the rim and body, we replaced them with genuine parts. Then, we repaired and painted the automobile to be ready and driven away as if nothing happened.
Nothing is worse than seeing a cherished possession, like this Chrysler Lancer, battered and bruised after an accident. Our team applied smash repair services to the front and rear to restore the classic to its former glory. Giving final checks, it was ready to hit the road in a short turnaround, thanks to our experts.
After a bad rear accident, the owner of this Tesla Model S brought their car in for significant smash repairs. As a Tesla Approved Body Shop, our team repaired this Tesla back to its original condition by replacing and painting the damaged parts, fitting the brand beaver panel and repairing the boot floor. Back on the road, you wouldn’t know any difference!
Marine repairs
Overtime wear is expected after a decent amount of time on the water. That is precisely what happened to this Seadoo GTR 230. Coming in to get the left-hand side top deck repaired and painted, this jet ski experienced scratches and slight cracks in the fibreglass, requiring our fibreglass boat repair services. As always, our team delivered and the jet ski looked as good as new after the repair.
How cool is this Seadoo RXP X 300? Coming in for a general service and health check, our team gave this jet ski a complete full rebuild of the jet pump after finding water in it. The customer had it back in time for the weekend, with the job completed in just 2 days.
There is nothing we love more than a twin service! Towards the end of 2022, two Waverunners came in for fibreglass repairs. By the time our team were done, this pair of jetskis had never looked better.
Car restorations
At Bodytech Automotive, we love restoring old cars – it is one of our passions! So you could imagine our team’s excitement when this Cadillac came in for a light freshen-up at the start of the year. Fixing the paint chips, faded paintwork and rust, we gave this car a complete refresh to the coat, giving this beautiful classic the glossy look it deserves.
Another vintage car, we restored this Jensen, making it look brand new. Coming in for a complete respray and detail, we fixed the damage and gaps around the vehicle, then finished it off in top condition, ready to be shown off.
We don’t restore cars just to be enjoyed; we also restore them to maintain value and be sold! This Holden VK Commodore is the perfect example, coming in for a minor touch-up before being put up for sale. After repairing the bonnet, bonnet scoop and both side skirts, this car was detailed and looked better than ever.
Custom car detailing
Do you want your car to be noticed and admired by all on the roads? You need to customise your vehicle like this Orange Nissan 350Z. The aftermarket detail that went into this car our team completed back in May is insane! It includes a custom gloss black 2-tone spray paint on the front bar and accessories with other minor custom changes throughout.
How about this Mercedes Benz GLC 63 AMG? For the complete package, we delivered an entire body matte black wrap, tinted headlights, tinted taillights, paint and the removal of plastic texture around the vehicle. We also did the wheel powder coating in wet black and painted all badges in gloss black. There is no ignoring this dark beauty when she is out and about!
But it doesn’t stop there — we can customise all vehicles, including motorbikes! Here is a Harley Night Train that came through back in February. As one of the leaders for powder coating in Sydney, this owner came to us wanting some chrome pieces coated in matte and gloss black. Incredibly sleek, this bike left the shop in mint condition!
